Matt and Khym: Better Than Ever (2007)
Director- Tony Comstock
Studio- Comstock Films
Cast: Matt and Khym

matt and khym lg Matt and Khym: Better Than Ever

Tony Comstock does it again with “Matt and Khym: Better Than Ever”.  Although I began reviewing Comstock Films with their latest: “Bill and Desiree” [my review], each film I have seen since then has amazed me.  You would think that using the same formula over and over would get boring, but Comstock’s films are always arousing, intimate and beautiful, and each cast of lovers so diverse that there is always something new to enjoy and experience.  It is the lovers: their different stories, personalities and relationships; that make each Comstock film unique and stand-alone.  And, while you may think, seen one, seen them all, nothing could be further from the truth.

Matt and Khym met with Khym just out of high school and Matt in his early twenties.  Now, in their thirties, they rediscover the sizzle and attraction that first drew them together to find that sex and intimacy are even better than it was before.

Matt and Khym are a very down-to-earth, sweet, compassionate couple.  Not only do they care deeply for each other, they show great kindness to others by populating their home with “strays”.  Because of this they have given up their privacy for many years to shelter others with their love and kindness.  Now, instead of hiding behind closed doors, or having sex in cars, Matt and Khym are free to enjoy their lovemaking openly and rediscover their “2nd Honeymoon.”  They invite you to take “a little peek into their bedroom.”

mattandkhym2 Matt and Khym: Better Than Ever

What starts off slow and sensual with loving caresses soon heats up into a passionate scene of erotic love.  Matt and Khym’s sex scene is intimate, compelling, sweet and erotic.  What I enjoy most about Comstock films is that the lovemaking is always about mutual pleasure, unlike so many porn films that are focused on male desire only.  The men in Comstock’s films are more interested in deriving their pleasure by giving pleasure to their partners and are gifted at making love.

Matt and Khym say they wanted to do this film to show couples that even after years of marriage you can still reconnect with your partner and renew that sexual intimacy.  They encourage others to make sex and intimacy a priority by continuously feeding it.  Matt and Khym: Better Than Ever, is a pleasure to watch solo and even more special to share with a lover.

Let us be clear: this is not a fight between ‘old’ and ‘new’ media. This not about blogger vengeance or a mob mentality wanting to lay in to print media. This is about journalistic integrity, immorality, and a few unethical hacks desperate to make their mark in the newspaper industry.

The digital age has given people access to instant information, interactive feedback, and the freedom to reply, so the vast, angry, Internet response to The Sunday Times outing me, and, indeed, last week’s outing of fellow anonymous blogger Night Jack, by sister paper The Times was not a bloggers vs. journalists battle. Instead, it was simply a reaction of disgust that journalistic standards have sunk so low: is this what ‘news’ reporting has come to?

The journalist who outed me has now justified doing so by stating my anonymity was a “marketing gimmick”; this just smacks of pathetic desperation. My writing a sexblog and book was hardly newsworthy – it’s not like I was writing about anything criminal, or shagging a politician – and my being anonymous for almost three years, until I was outed, doesn’t support this supposed pre-meditated book-selling ploy.

I had my reasons for wanting to remain anonymous, as all anon bloggers do, and did everything in my power to remain so; sadly that wasn’t enough for this keen journalist, eager to get her foot on the quality journalistic ladder.

2009 Grand Marshals: Dustin Lance Black, Cleve Jones, Ann Kronenberg &Hon. NYS Gov. David Paterson

Route: 52nd & 5th avenue, down Fifth Avenue, ending at Greenwich Avenue

The March began as an annual civil rights demonstration beginning the year after the Stonewall Riots in 1970. Over the years its purpose has broadened to include recognition of the fight against AIDS and to remember those we have lost to the illness, violence and neglect. It has also evolved to include being a celebration of our lives and our community.

To watch the March step-off you should be in the 50s or upper 40s on 5th Avenue. For larger crowds and high energy, anywhere in the village is ideal. For smaller crowds, many enjoy watching in the 30s, 20s, and teens on 5th Avenue.

This event is free and open to the public. No tickets are necessary. More info here.

g rider Nexus G Rider

The G-Rider is a P (or G) spot toy made by Nexus, a brilliant sex toy company out of Britain.  They make a whole series of wickedly designed P-spot vibrating anal toys specifically for men.  And, it’s about time.  Next to the Aneros and Rude Boy, there isn’t much out there for excellent quality P-spot toys for guys.

I have found in my experience with P-spot toys, what is good for the Goose is usually also good for the Gander.  Meaning, P-spot toys for men are usually interchangeable as G-spot toys for women and visa-versa.  Not having a P-spot of my own I can’t tell you what it feels like there, but I can tell you how it works on the female G-spot.  But, first, a few details about the toy itself.

First of all, the G-Rider is shaped much like the Aneros toys, and has a hard core that keeps its shape.  However, unlike the Aneros which is constructed of hard plastic, the G-Rider is coated in the most sensual velvety silicone.  As soon as I pulled it out of its plastic box I wanted to rub it all over my body and holding it now I have the same urge.  It is very high quality silicone and smells so good you’ll want to eat it.  The texture reminds me of some exotic sci-fi creature’s sensual skin, and being bright pink, you could imagine that a strange hybrid penis of a mythical beast might look and feel like this.

The manufacturers have included clear instructions on how to use the toy as well as an illustration defining the parts of its design.  Shaped like an upside-down capital T, the toy features a handle at the bottom with a nubbed perineum stimulator on one side.  The main shaft is short and curved, with a rounded crooked finger that is the P-spot massager part.  On a woman, the finger acts as the G-spot massager and the perineum stimulator as the clitoral stimulator.  The base features the battery compartment and the control button, with 5 vibration settings.

For anal play, the instructions say to wash it (obviously) and suggest cleaning the anus with a douche beforehand.  To insert, use plenty of lube (water-based), relax and insert slowly.  Then you are free to turn on the vibe and ride the “waves” to orgasm, either by leaving it in place or rubbing it against the P-spot.

There are no instructions for vaginal (G-spot) penetration, so here are mine.  Empty bladder.  Apply your favorite water-based lube to the head of the crooked finger.  Insert.  Turn on and play.  The G-spot enjoys firm pressure and often drumming or rubbing, so do what feels best to you.  The way this toy is curved, the finger part feels exactly like the come-hither movement that is ideal for G-spot stimulation if you rock the toy just the right way.  It feels amazing and I have to say (despite being a toy designed for men) this is one of the best G-spot (for women) toys I have ever tried.  The curve is perfect for rubbing and once you feel the urge to squirt, for thrusting and drumming.  Also, the vibrations are fairly powerful and easily felt in this vibe.  Before, I have never really found vibration on my G-spot to make much difference, but here I really noticed it and know it aided in my stimulation and orgasm.

So, I rate this toy an A+ for G-spot stimulation, which just goes to prove that boy toys are fun for girls too.  I imagine this toy would also be stellar for guys as well.

You can find the Nexus G-Rider at TabuToys.com where they carry many different G-spot Vibrators.

openingup Opening Up: A Guide to Creating and Sustaining Open Relationships

Opening Up: A Guide to Creating and Sustaining Open Relationships” by Tristan Taormino is an enlightening and thought-provoking book that explores the diverse aspects of nonmonogamous relationships from solo polyamory, to partnered nonmonogamy, to triangles and groups.  The book features a wealth of information from stats to brief histories of polyamory in the U.S., as well as Taormino’s own research on the subject where she interviewed over 100 people living in open relationships over the past ten years.

The Guide begins by relating the history of polyamory, as well as breaking the myths of monogamy and traditional relationships, why you might want to choose a nonmonogamous lifestyle and what makes nonmonogamy work.  Section 2 looks at the many styles or models of nonmonogamous relationships and Section 3 talks about creating and sustaining relationships.  There is also a resource guide at the end which lists books, organizations and websites for further information.

Throughout the book Taormino uses checklists and practical advice for the reader which she says can be used like a roadmap to navigate your own way through the different styles and create your own model based on you and your partner(s) needs, desires, and unique situation(s).  Like any emotional or sexual relationship, polyamorous relationships have unique problems, potential issues and conflicts that arise that are common to open relationships.  Taormino deals with each of these giving practical advice and coping strategies including: jealousy, fear of abandonment, time management, negotiating boundaries, violating agreements, new desire, coping with change, safer sex as well as legal issues.

The highlight of the book is the real life experiences Taormino uses with quotes, stories and advice from a diverse group of people who share their desires, fears, challenges, solutions, successes and failures with the reader to provide meaningful context.  This book is really a thoughtful and comprehensive guide on open relationships of all kinds, leaving no stone unturned.  Enlightening, inspirational, and practical, this book is for anyone interested in or already living in responsible nonmonogamous relationships.

You can purchase “Opening Up: A Guide to Creating and Sustaining Open Relationships” by Tristan Taormino at Babeland.
