CINEKINK NYC SCREENINGS
The festivities then move to Anthology Film Archives (32 Second Avenue, NYC), Wednesday, February 8 through Saturday, February 11, with several different film and video programs scheduled for each day.

*WEDNESDAY
Among the headliners, first up on Wednesday, February 8 at 7:00 PM, the festival’s CineKink Season Opener screening is Erika Lust’s CABARET DESIRE which, inspired by New York’s real-life Poetry Brothel, uses “poetry courtesans” to weave together several erotic vignettes.

And at 9:00 PM, AFTER FALL, WINTER is a sexy, funny and darkly poignant story about two lovers who desperately crave intimacy, yet fiercely resist revealing their true sexual selves … even to each other.

*THURSDAY
On Thursday, February 9 at 7:00 PM, it’s (A)SEXUAL, a documentary look at what it’s like to be without sexual desire in a society that is otherwise obsessed.

And at 9:10 PM, KINK & KINSHIP is a program of short works that celebrate the special sense of community our shared kinks tend to engender.

*FRIDAY
On Friday, February 10 at 6:30 PM, the lives of several people are turned upside down when they meet sexy Cecile, a character who symbolizes DESIRE.

At 8:45 PM, the shorts program COUPLINGS is a hot mess of twosomes, threesomes and more-somes!

And in SEXUALLY FRANK, at 10:40 PM, a group of long-time friends finds that sex is no less befuddling now than it was during puberty.

*SATURDAY
Kicking off Saturday, February 11 at 12:30 PM – and our matinee porn trilogy aka “Pornopalooza!!” – many hijinks ensue in SWEET PRUDENCE & THE EROTIC ADVENTURE OF BIGFOOT, when the mythical beast is spotted at a remote nudist resort.

At 2:45 PM, a special industry showcase, BRING IT!, features a dazzling array of talent from today’s adult cinema, all stepping up with a hot sampling of their recent creative endeavors.

At 5:00 PM, STAGE BROTHER follows the cross-county quest of a young, New Jersey woman who dreams of making it in the world of adult entertainment.

At 7:15 PM, in SIRWIÑAKUY, two Bolivian strangers participate in their own kinky version of a sirwiñakuy, an indigenous tradition where a man brings home a trial “wife.”

And, closing out the festival’s regular screening schedule at 9:45 PM, the romantic drama “3” tells the story of Hanna and Simon who, on the brink of their 20th anniversary, separately become enamored with the same younger man.

CINEKINK AWARDS CELEBRATION – Sunday, 2/12 @ 6:00 pm

Leather Storytelling is about taking ownership of why we find solace, and pleasure in the things that we do, and coming out of the shadows to make our voices heard. This workshop is designed for all variety of folks who find leather to be a driving force in their lives regardless of context or dynamic(s). The workshop is not specifically about writing porn/erotica though of course sexually explicit themes are welcome, but rather this is focused on telling the stories of our dynamics, of our communities, and of ourselves. Leather Storytelling is focused on exploring what it means to tell our stories when as leather folk we are often silenced, and pushed out of even the most progressive spaces who deem us as inappropriate or obscene. Through guided writing exercises, workshop participants will discover the transformative power of storytelling and how it can be used to break down divides, foster and preserve community, and build coalitions within leather community and beyond.

The event will take place in central/north jersey. It will run from 10am until 6 pm with a break for lunch. Then a play party will happen afterwards at 8PM.

Tickets can be purchased online or in person at a reduced cost (no service fee). We will be selling the tickets at October’s JRE meeting as well as at pre-determined events/munches/parties (keep your eyes peeled on our forum).

Finding Your Style

I know I put it here somewhere… – Interactive Demo

Shibari, Western, Japanese Style, Damsel in Distress, Bedroom Bondage – these terms are often used to describe different types of rope bondage, but what do they really mean for your playstyle? This workshop will begin with a discussion of the various dimensions of bondage styles including sample images and ties followed by a hands-on lab where we’ll explore the bondage styles or reconstruct as many ties as we have time for. Participants are encouraged to bring at least four 30-foot lengths of 6mm (1/4″) rope and their imaginations.

Lochai

Hogties

From classic wrist-to-ankle ties to full immobilization ties, this class will go over various ways to bind your partner in the most recognized position in bondage. The hogtie is on of the first ties many people learn when exploring bondage and it stays with you at every level. From Damsel in Distress (DID) to Japanese versions there will be something for every body type and flexibility level.

Graydancer

TIE ‘EM UP & FUCK ‘EM: Rope Bondage for the Impatiently Kinky

This class aims to dispel that myth, with practical, speedy, and above all erotic techniques to bring rope into your kink. Fast body harnesses to improve your fucklife, methods of handling rope in a sensually effective way, and ideas for to keeping a scene hot from the first wrap to the last tangled ropegasm on the floor. Graydancer, host of the long-running Ropecast on the internet will share all the Great Secrets of Rope in his irreverent and engaging style. • Curious about Sacred Sexuality or have that general feeling that the intimacy in your life is “missing something” or isn’t “deep enough?”
  • Had ecstatic experiences in the bedroom that border on spiritual or transcendent, but they’re so far and few between that you’re beginning to doubt if they were real at all?
  • Frustrated with your current sex life and really want to “take it to the next level,” but have no idea what the “next level” means, looks like, or how to get there?
  • Want to take a workshop on Tantra or Taoist Sexual Practices, but don’t know where to look or how to find a teacher you would connect with?
  • Perhaps you know exactly what you want to study, but can’t seem to get your partner or friends to stop calling what you’re into “New Age” and “Woo-Woo Mumbo Jumbo?”

If you answered yes to any of the questions above, or if you or your friends think that shame-free, deeply moving sex and mind expanding orgasms are only for people like Sting, then come to the Sacred Sexuality Round-up and see what is possible for YOU!

If you’re feeling shy about working on your love life in a conscious, intentional way, then why not attend one of the most fun and informative, least threatening, unpretentious (and deeply inspirational!) events on conscious loving happening in the country!

Bare brings together storytellers, comedians, sex educators and others to share true tales from their own experiences of sex, desire and romance. With stories as diverse as the people telling them, Bare opens doors to bedrooms, back seats and dungeons to tell what your mama left out about the birds, bees and in-betweens.

The first installment of Bare focuses on—what else?—first times. Come to Union Hall to pop cherries with these scintillating performers:

  • Hosted by Jefferson (Writer, Storyteller, One Life Take Two)
  • Killy “Mockstar” Dwyer (Comedian, Musician, Alter Ego)
  • Ophira Eisenberg (Comedian, Author, The Moth)
  • Dave Hill (Comedian, Upright Citizen’s Brigade, This American Life)
  • Lolita Wolf (Sex Educator, Author, Princess)
  • Musical guest Molly Ruth

. . . and you! You have a story about a sexy first time. Put your name in the hat for a chance to bare all on the Bare stage.

And more! One lucky audience member will win Bare’s sex-toy raffle, courtesy of Babeland.

About Lesbian Sex Mafia

Founded in 1981 by Dorothy Allison and Jo Arnone, the Lesbian Sex Mafia (LSM) is the oldest continuously running women’s BDSM support and education groups in the country. We are located in New York City, with a membership primarily in the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. However, we also have members along the East Coast, across the country and even in Europe!

LSM is a support and information group for all women 18 years of age or older, including transexual and intersexed women who live their daily lives as women and all female-born transgender people who feel they have a connection with and respect for the women’s community. And, who are interested in fantasy and role playing, bondage, discipline, S/M, fetishes, costumes, alternate gender identities and uninhibited sexual expression in a safe, sane, consensual and confidential way.
