The G-Pop

When I was doing my strange sex toy reviews, the G-Pop would have been a good addition.  Not that it is bizarre like the replica Wolf Penis I reviewed, or blasphemous like the Jackhammer Jesus, or even fantastical like the Dragon’s Tongue… But, it definitely is not what I ever expected a G-spot dildo to look like.  In fact, when I first saw it I was sure it was a percussion toy.

So a G-Pop is basically a sex toy with a long steel rod having a plastic handle on one end and a heavy steel ball on the other.  It comes in different sizes: 1.5″, 2″ and 2.38″ diameters and various colors.  The manufacturers, Steel Vineyards, also make them in gemstone varieties as well.  Mine came in Cherry Red with a 2” diameter, which is very large, heavy and hard as hell.  It is a heavy metal dildo that will either rock your G-spot to bliss, or leave you in serious pain.

When I first got my G-Pop it sat on my desk and I used it for percussion to massage my shoulders.  It worked very well bouncing lightly off my shoulder muscles, but you have to be extremely careful not to hit the bone (even lightly) as you could seriously hurt yourself.  My partner didn’t like the feeling of it as a percussion toy, saying it wigged him out.  I think two of these would make ideal percussion toys together on the soft cushions of the butt, playing the flesh like a xylophone.

I first applied my new G-spot gel, Shunga’s Rain of Love arousal gel to my G-spot.  I then lubed the G-Pop up well and began rubbing it around my vulva and slowly inserting it.  No go. I obviously needed some extra stimulation to get more aroused.  I grabbed my trusty lusty plug-in massager the Fairy Wand and went to work on my clit, while my partner slowly rolled and twisted the G-Pop at the opening of my vagina.  Every time it almost went in, it felt like my pelvic bone was going to crack and my G-Spot burned painfully.  We tried this for a while to no avail.  I couldn’t insert the G-Pop without feeling pain, tensing up and popping it out.  Holy mother-fucker and did it hurt! While I have tried many sex toys in the name of “science” (Ha!), I am not willing to undergo pain or fear for a review.  I read both AAG’s and Essin’ Em’s reviews of the G-Pop, and while they both had to carefully work it in, they both did manage to insert the toy and both found it exquisite once inside.  AAG had the largest one and Essin’ Em the smallest.  So, while the G-Pop didn’t fit me in the 2” size, it would obviously fit other people.  I have a small vagina and I’ve never had kids, so 2” was way too large for me.  I do know that had I got the 1 ½” that it would have fit, because after trying unsuccessfully to insert the G-Pop, I got my NJoy Pure Wand out and the large end slid easily inside me, making me squirt uncontrollably. (My reward to undergoing the G-Pop pain!)

I still think that the G-Pop is a pretty groovy, unique sex toy.  I would still love to try the 1 ½”, and from now on will keep that in mind when getting new toys.

Yes.  The SaSi does feel as close as a sex toy can get to a good clitty lickin’. Under a soft silicone stretchy surface, a little pleasure nub sticks out to rub and titillate your clit.  Depending on your mode, this nub strokes, circles and flickers, much like a real tongue, while you control the speed and vibration.

Pre-Programmed Mode

Getting to Know Your SaSi

I found the buttons a bit difficult to use at first.  This is because I have long fingernails, and it makes it hard to push the buttons, especially the next button when in use.  After a bit, I was better able to control the buttons with practice using the pads of my fingers.

Power

The SaSi needs to be charged before using.  She comes with several plug adapters for use in the North America, UK, Europe, and Australia.  Just plug her in and her indicator will be red when uncharged which turns to green when fully charged.

The SaSi also vibrates in addition to the nubby motions it makes.  On high, this vibration is pretty good (not mind blowing, but satisfactory and comparable with Lelo’s).  Combined with the nub movements, it is enough to get you over the edge to orgasm.

Although the length seems trivial, it is more than enough to hit the G-spot which is normally about 1-2” inside the vagina.

Summer’s over.  And, this is the time of year that I try to find some alternative ways to exercise like join belly dance, Pilates and yoga classes.  But I live way in the country and there are not many interesting fitness classes available in my area.  I could sign up for erotic dance and pole dancing classes in the city but that’s two hours of driving there and back each time.  So, this year I decided to try out My Sexy Little Pole—Professional Dancing Kit from TabuToys.com.

My Sexy Little Pole comes in a long tube with the pole in three sections, hardware to attach it to your ceiling and floor, an instruction book and an instructional DVD.  The pole is simple to assemble and fits ceilings 7 ½ feet – 8 ½ feet.  My ceiling is actually just slightly over 8 ½ feet, so I have the pole extended to the max, yet it is still fairly sturdy.  The pole is constructed out of stainless steel and will hold up to 200 lbs, which I checked and got my partner to climb it.  He’s about 200 lbs.  It says that some shaking and movement on the pole is entirely normal and you do experience that.  They also warn you not to use it while intoxicated, probably a good tip!

As soon as I set it up I wanted to use it right away, so it does inspire you to get active.  I set it up in my office so I can take a break from sedentary sitting at the computer, and start dancing around the pole for a ½ hour each day.  Its pretty fun and I don’t feel like I’m exercising, even though my body feels the effects of it afterwards.

So, the first night after I had “erected” my pole, I put the instructional DVD in.  The girl in the video, Kate, is very fit and looks like she is most likely a professional pole dancer or instructor.  She shows you an entire routine, and then parts of it, so you can learn the basic moves.  The DVD is fairly amateurish, as the sound quality is terrible in some parts with the music blaring so loud you can’t hear her instructions.  Thanks goodness you can watch her and follow her moves, but I wasn’t impressed with this DVD.  It’s too bad they didn’t take the time to make a good quality DVD to go with the pole as otherwise, this would be an awesome product.

You can basically follow what she is doing however, as she shows each moves several times so you can try it as you watch.  Later on in the DVD she shows you some more advanced moves as well.  Most of the moves are simple, and require coordination rather than strength, so anyone could learn these.  I could also do one of the pole slides right away which was encouraging.  A few of the more advanced moves will take practice, and time as I build up the strength in my body and loose a few more pounds.

My Sexy Little Pole is a great pole for beginners and experts who want to try some erotic pole dancing right in their own home.  I have read that it is one of the sturdiest poles out there, next to Carmen Electra’s pole, but it is much cheaper.  I haven’t tried Carmen’s pole so can’t verify which is better, but can recommend My Sexy Little Pole as a good quality, strong pole that will get you started right away, in a matter of minutes.

With My Sexy Little Pole, I also got “The Better Sex Guide to Erotic Dancing” DVD from Sinclair Institute so I could learn some other basic moves for erotic dancing.  This DVD doesn’t teach pole dancing, but erotic striptease, however I thought it would teach me a few things that I could apply to pole dancing.

This DVD wasn’t what I was expecting. It begins with a dance instructor (Carmen, but not Carmen Electra) who has a class of “real women” to whom she teaches a few erotic dance moves.  The classes are pretty short and don’t really teach you a lot.  You learn the basic strip-tease “walk”, stretching, floor work (like crawling on the floor) and how to use some props, but nothing really specific as in moves.  Then you watch the “real women” try these out themselves on their “real partners”.  They do their routines, which are fairly amateur, and then the rest is a soft-core sex scene.  I was like—Whoa! Wait a minute!  I thought this was a dance instruction DVD?  Well, it is but mostly it’s about erotic seduction and features soft-core porn.  The one thing I did like about this DVD as it showed women of all shapes and sizes doing an erotic striptease, so if you can body issues, you might be inspired by seeing the plump girl do her routine which was the best one of the bunch.  So, other than that, I wouldn’t say this DVD has any redeeming value and you certainly won’t learn too much erotic dancing from it, so fairly disappointing.

Sex, Sex, and More Sex by Sue Johanson

Who doesn’t love Sue Johanson?  I grew up listening to the grandmotherly sexpert talk about every sexual taboo imaginable on CBC Radio, and later tuned into late night TV to watch her Sunday Night Sex Show.  Mostly, I tuned in to laugh, because she is quite a character and very funny.  But, I always learned quite a bit from her shows and perhaps because of her, aspired to study sexology and teach people about the positive aspects of their sexuality as well.

I was hoping Sue’s book “Sex, Sex, and More Sex” was going to teach me something new, and leave off where her shows ended.  The book doesn’t do that however.  It is more of a digest of all her Q & A’s on the shows, written down and explained, with a few resources.  This would be a valuable resource for someone who has never watched Sue’s shows, or for young people who don’t have all the answers.  But, I mainly found it repetitive as didn’t offer me anything new or unique.

The book is easily navigated by topic, put in alphabetical order, with a listing as well in the index.  Each topic has a Q & A format, which Sue answers.  Being a registered nurse, many of the topics pertain to STDs, Aids, celibacy, condoms and safety, which is great.  Sue also demystifies many subjects, which, in her day were much more taboo than they are now such as anal sex, bondage and discipline, abortion, hairiness and vaginal farts. (Well, maybe vagina farts didn’t need to be demystified?)  Sue’s focus is always on safety and health, be it physical, or mental.  She also addresses issues that aren’t necessarily sexual like Anorexia, battering and abuse, Osteoporosis, and body image issues.

The information provided in this book is very useful, especially for teens who want the straight facts and I would recommend it for anyone’s daughter, son, niece, nephew, or grandchild who is becoming curious about their own sexuality and asking questions.  Much of what you will find in the book is the type of info that you’d get from places like Planned Parenthood.  Some of it is a bit dated, and I wonder if Sue has ever used some of the toys she recommends, but overall, useful and accurate information.

I guess I was disappointed in the book because I am no longer a teenager, so much of the information I already know.  And, also, the book cannot capture Sue’s witty, no-nonsense personality that she portrayed on her shows, which was one of the best things about watching them.

Obviously, the intended audience is not myself, or other savvy sexperts, but young people who want to know more about sex but are afraid to ask.  I do highly recommend this book for teens and for parents who don’t quite know all the answers either, or aren’t sure how to approach the subject with their kids.

Porno spoofs are the biggest thing in the industry these days, and “Not the Bradys XXX: Marcia, Marcia, Marcia” (2009), the sequel to “Not the Bradys XXX” (2008)–the biggest selling film in all of porn—is hilarious.

I don’t know if any of you are old enough to have watched the Brandy Bunch as a kid (1969-1974), but I was hooked on it.  NTB2 is a groovy tribute to the original series which has been sexed up for mainstream porn.  The set is amazing and looks just like the old Brady’s home, with all the punchy retro-colored outfits to match.

The cast is great, especially Aurora Snow as Jan, Teagan Presley as Marcia, and James Deen as Peter.  It was actually kind-of creepy watching it as the cast is so much like the originals, that… well, they all seem like goofy, underage teenagers.  Luckily, we know they are not, and the parody can be forgiven, since it is meant to be a comedy.

Hottest scenes in the film include Jan (Aurora Snow) and girl-friend Alexis Love girl-girl scene who are later joined by Scott Lyons; Peter (James Deen) three-way with Emma Hart and Maya Gates; and Bobby (Mikey Butders) getting it on with the big-breasted neighborhood milf Sierra West.  Marcia (Teagan) and Evan Stone’s scene wraps it up, and is super hot. God Stone knows how to talk dirty and when he knocks Teagan off the bench as he comes, it is hilarious!

This film made me laugh and laugh, which is normally hard to do.  I really loved it and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to watch a bit of light-hearted, retro-styled parody porn instead of the same-old boring scripts and usual old in-and-out mainstream sex.

The G-spot bulb is the perfect size and shape for rubbing the G-spot into deep body orgasms and provoking female ejaculation.
