NYC Sex Blogger Meetup Round-up (aka Perverts’ Salo(o)n)

On the morning of the blogger meet up last week, I told Viviane that though I was looking forward to meeting all my fellow NYC sex bloggers, I was almost looking forward to reading about it more. And so I present to you the writing about the meeting, by the bloggers who lived it:
Viviane: “I was apprehensive. What would it be like to have 15 people most who’ve never met each other, all in the same apartment? Would they blow my cover? Would they get creepy and take their clothes off?”
Lex Konrad, Naked Loft Party: “Even in this age of instantaneous feedback, hacking away at a keyboard can be a sad, lonely thing. It’s good to shake someone’s hand, to look a fellow traveler in the eye, to participate in a community—something larger than yourself—and put your creative demons out of their misery, if only for a short while.”
Audacia Ray, Waking Vixen: “It was really cool to come face to face with people whose words and innermost thoughts I’ve encountered (by which I mean, “masturbated to”) and in some cases folks who I’ve had ongoing email correspondence with. It was really clear that this event was the beginning of something, not just a one-time fluke.”
J, Male Slut: “Viviane, the sexy hostess of last evening made a comment to Lex about my blog. She said, “J’s blog is what Jefferson calls, direct narrative (or something like that, let me know & I will change) he tells it straight through, Bam-bam-bam-bam. STILL extremely dirty and makes my panties wet.” i might have made up that last part, but it is probably true.` I was kind of just listening. But when she said that I kind of went, “WUH” a bit of a wake up.”
Selina, Sex in the City - the Real Version: “Went to our first ever sex bloggers’ meet-up. Jefferson wasn’t there, but joined us via camera, so I showed him my tits, so that he could see what he was missing. Clearly, it started a trend. People were coming up to the camera all night to expose their breasts. The Plainbellied Sneech even took off his tie!”
Charlie Bucket, Plain-Bellied Sneetch: “Let me try to capture my highlights: Tony Comstock’s observations about the intersection of memoir and porn — Anakalia’s adventures in immigration law — PornoJim’s explanation of his unique ouevre — Chelsea Girl’s ironic “No One Cares About Your Blog” T-Shirt stretched over a chest about which One Cares Deeply — the erstwhile badmaninabadplace who is now a cautionary tale for the ages — Les’s full body lay out to retrieve Viviane’s wine key — debating the merits of lollipops and neckwear with Jefferson — davening with Madeline — and of course, talking relative New York City childhoods with my new best friend, Selina.”
Cherry Bomb, Queen of Cream: “We all came from wonderfully varied backgrounds as pornstresses, activists, pornographers, swingers, models, general perverts, but all of us had inspired ideas we were looking to discuss.”
Anakalia, Salacity: “I was disappointed that neither Freya nor Mimi turned up, both of whom I was literally jumping with excitement to meet, but such is the way with these meet-ups. Jefferson and Madeleine couldn’t make it, but at least we saw them and their nipples on the webcam. And Madeleine? Smokin’!”
Chelsea Girl, Pretty Dumb Things: “It’s always interesting to meet a person whose words you’ve read, but whom you’ve never seen. It’s more interesting to meet the person when the words you’ve read are deeply intimate, the private of privates, the rarely speakable, the gutturally utterable. It’s yet more interesting when there’s a room full of them, these unseen people and their unspoken intimates.”
I had a really nice time and enjoyed meeting everyone. I wish I had a wittier way to say that, but at least I’m sincere.

I’m so jealous! Yall had to have had fun. Maybe it’ll become a regular event, eh? You should make it a national thing though so some of us southern perverts can join in the fun.
