Cost: $20/per person. Prepaying and or preregistering  is advised. We are limiting the class size so that everyone will be able to learn. Because so many people have asked us to start doing workshops again, we are starting with our most popular one!

Learn some basics that will be the building blocks for creating ties that will give you versatility in the bedroom or the dungeon. Come with a partner or we will try to match singles up.

Supplies: Bring two lengths of 30 foot rope.

About our presenter: Lolita Wolf

She has been active in the BDSM community since the min 80′s. She has been active in many of the local groups TES, LSM, LPN, GMSMA.
Loves, loves, loves, bondage and has given numerous workshops around the country on this subject. She is very knowledgable in many other areas of BDSM, has won numerous awards and even produced some educational videos. If you are a novice and or someone who wants to learn the art of bondage, this is the workshop for you !!

DeLano is dedicated to using his years of experience in the bondage scene to help others enjoy their time in rope more safely and fully. He has presented locally in NYC and for events around the country on rope bondage and on other topics. DeLano is the Junior Instructor for Midori’s Rope Bondage Dojo ® weekend intensives, and he co-moderates the Japanese RopeArt and the Shibari Enthusiasts Yahoo groups. He’s also co-presented with Michele Serchuk on their photographic collaborations in bondage imagery.

DeLano has had a life-long desire for rope bondage and explores that through his Web site,www.delanobound.com. This is his personal exploration of the art, spirituality, physicality and psychology of his bondage journey as well as the nature of the connections he shares with his rope partners (both as a bottom and as a top).

So you’ve taken the Novice Rope Share class (or other learning facility) and are ready to move on from the basic ties to the Next Step. This workshop will delve into the next level of Shibari harnesses, bondage positions, and arm ties, as well as a more in depth discussion of the psychology of the bottom in those ties. Again, the class is tailored to your interests. Class size is kept to a small circle for friendly experimentation bondage and personal attention.

Instructor’s Bios

Tyutumi is a bondage enthusiast who has been teaching rope bondage since 2003. He received advanced training in Japanese-style bondage from Midori, and continues to study with her at every opportunity. A graduate of Midori’s Advanced Dojo, Tyutumi also studied with well-known rope artists at Shibaricon. He was a member of Gay Men SM Activists (GMSMA) for many years, serving on its Program Committee and presenting a number of GMSMA programs and workshops. He is a longtime member of the New York Bondage Club and Delta International. He has presented bondage demos and classes at The Eulenspiegel Society (TES), GMSMA, Mid-Atlantic Leather (MAL), The Museum of Sex, Rope Share and Delta. Tyutumi is the founder of the Rope Dojo of New York.

Master Mike has been practicing Japanese rope bondage since 2006 and is a graduate of Tyutumi’s shibari class. His proficiency as a roper prompted an invitation to join Tyutumi’s monthly rope dojo, and he has been a valued instructor at Rope Share. He holds a certificate from Midori’s intensive Rope Bondage workshop. Master Mike completed the six-month GMSMA novices special interest group in 2006 and was an active member of GMSMA until 2009. He enjoys teaching others what he knows about rope and creating imaginative, safe bondage scenes. Master Mike’s effectiveness as a rope instructor derives from his quiet authority, precision, humor, clarity and gentleness.

Lolita Wolf discovered the BDSM scene back in the late 80′s when “online” meant being on the phone sex lines. She is an activist who defends the sexual freedom for all consenting adults, spreads the word about BDSM, sex and poly, and helps the community grow and flourish. Yet, her goal remains “to have fun.” Lolita has learned her rope skills from Midori’s Rope Dojo and from many other instructors at Shibaricon, and many other events.  Lolita has taught workshops for organizations and events across the country, and  is well-known for a fun and entertaining style. She is co-facilitator of the TES Bondage Group. Lolita is an Emeritus Board Member of of both TES and Leather Leadership Conference. She is a former Chair of Lesbian Sex Mafia, an honorary member of GMSMA and an Associate Member of New York boys of Leather. She is active with National Coalition for Sexual Freedom and Leather Pride Night. Her writing has appeared in On Our backs and Prometheus magazines and she has authored two books: Spanking and CBT in a Nutshell.

If you are an advanced player and want to see how other rope tops tie, how different styles can enhance your own, this is a safe, non-ego space to hang out and play.

Couples are encouraged to attend together, but singles are also welcome as this will be held in a lab environment. Please be open to dance both parts for the sake of the education.

The next three days will follow with classes, vendors and evenings at the play space. Shibari Warrior has pulled together a really impressive group of instructors: Dov, Graydancer, David Lawrence, SaschaK, Jay Wiseman, Steve B, Pyro Sadist, to name just a few.
