Oh, I’m so zonked. Lots of talking, playing (mostly talking) and bourbon, little sleep. It’ll be days before I recover from the past two weeks of travel to a play party and Spring Fire.

I spent most of my time preparing for my ‘How to be a Sex Blogger’ workshop and the sex bloggers panel. The blogger workshop was well received by those who attended. Someone (maybe Tatsumi?) said the attendance was very good, considering that most folks missed the afternoon workshops, cause they were sleeping off their Friday night spent in the Dungeon and Sex-o-Rama. I did 70 slides and a 36 page handout. I’m going to try and edit it together and put it up soon, perhaps in a PDF format. Thanks to Seraphin and Anton who got the projector working on Saturday. Those things are damm finicky!

Jefferson and Marcus’ presentations went well, especially the bisexuality discussion. I was the ringer, asking ‘so, when’s the bi orgy event?’ Because I was attending their workshops, I didn’t attend many others. I did attend Anita Wagner’s on resolving jealously in a poly relationship. Also Bridgett “Lee” Harrington’s ‘Rope Bondage for Lovemaking.’ I’m going to try and catch her ‘Speed Bondage‘ at TES this Saturday.

I hadn’t expected to enjoy it, but Selina’s Erotic Easter Egg hunt was a hoot.

Jefferson says I’m a “butch top” because I flogged a pain slut I know from summer camp. Is that bad?

Phillip brought me to a collaring ceremony. I had never seen one, and was moved by the solemnity of it and the gravity of the commitment the parties made to each other.

Many thanks to Steve B. who did my first rope suspension. It was really cool, except for the male onlooker who kept talking to us, and called me ‘girl.’ Bad scene etiquette, dude. I have some lovely ropemarks on my chest that I had to warn my facialist about today. And rope marks on my wrists. Eep. And Barbara Nitke has the photographs to prove it. When are we setting up your blog, dear?

It was great to see old friends from summer camp and meet new ones. I received the surprise of my life on Friday. I walked into Helen Boyd’s workshop on monogamy. A woman in the back row stands up and we look at each other. Both our jaws drop – I’m looking at my old friend ‘Rachel.’ Rachel and I have been friends since we worked together in the same office over 20 years ago. We don’t want to disrupt the workshop, so we go out into the hallway. We fall into each other’s arms, hug and laugh hysterically.

Holding an event of this kind made me really appreciate Dark Odyssey Summer Camp. When we checked out today, I said to Jefferson, ‘Where have all the perverts gone?’ The next one is scheduled for Sept. 12-17. I’m already thinking about what I could present – maybe “60 Websites in 60 minutes?”
