Of course, it was probably the American version as I can't remember some of the acts described above. I do remember that for some people, one of the most disturbing aspects of the film was that these perversions were done very matter-of-fact. There wasn't any build-up to the acts as might have been done in American films. How Guccione got the talent for the film is amazing given that Caligula could certainly be one of those films that some of the actors would hope that all the copies suddenly combusted spontaneously along with any reviews, discussions etc., wiping any mention of the film from the memory of humanity. I can remember seeing this when it first came out. Of course, it was probably the American version as I can’t remember some of the acts described above.
