BodyMindSpiritMagic: How BDSM Affects Our Relationship With Our Selves

Many people are aware that the practice of BDSM has an impact on self esteem and self awareness, but most current work in the field does not explore those changes in any depth. “BodyMindSpiritMagic” will be a collection of first-person essays about how, specifically, the practice of BDSM has changed the writers relationship with their body, their mind, their emotions, and/or their spirituality. We invite anyone to submit an essay on one facet of their life that has been positively impacted by their kink – regardless of age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, or type of participation in any leather / kink community. We ask that writers send their previously unpublished essays of 1500-2000 words in .doc (MSWord 2000 or 2003) or .txt format, including a 100-word biography, phone and email contact information to bodymindspiritmagic AT gmail DOT com no later than August 31st, 2008. All submissions will be acknowledged, and those authors chosen to be included in the book will receive a complimentary copy of the book and will have the opportunity to purchase additional copies at a reduced cost. Please feel free to contact the editor, Sarah Sloane, with any questions or clarifications you might have at the above address.
