Happy birthday, Susan Mernit! And many more.
I think it started when Susan found Jefferson, or perhaps with a comment. I was reading her blog because one of the techorati suggested I read it. And independently, she started reading one of my vanilla blogs. Then she wrote and said, “we should meet, yes? We have many things in common.” Little did we know!
Sometime last year, I started introducing her by saying, ’she was one of our first champions.” She talked about the sex bloggers, identity and privacy, at Gnomedex, of all places (Figleaf was there).
Thanks to many tech tools (IM, Flickr, Twitter), we can share what’s going on in each other’s lives. I only wish I could have been part of the 5 day celebration that is her birthday.
