Welcome to our new home. The move took so long because I had to embed the link URLs in the body of the post. And it also took time to find a WordPress template I liked and add widgets. Lots and lots of widgets, but they really help functionality.
The import was slow, and kept stalling out. I even tried exporting to WordPress.com, and that timed out too. I called my ISP, they did something to the INI file and then it worked flawlessly. Then I started getting “internal server errors”. Turns out there is a plugin issued after version 2.0.5. That fixed it.
I’m still adding and fixing things, so it is still very much a work in progress.
A little tour:
Most of the improvements are under the hood, but hopefully make it easier for you to find the things that interest you on this site. Like making it easier to look at this site on your PDA or smart phone, backup the entire blog, or upload a site map for Google.
The template is quite wide, but is scalable in your browser.
On the upper right hand side, notice the little blocks of color? You can switch the color of the template to rose, light green or blue.
The “Search” box (plugin) searches both posts and pages. Standard WP only searches posts.
The “Addthis” bookmark widget on both the site and each post lets you bookmark to your favorite site.
If you click on a contributor’s name on the sidebar, you’ll view both their bio and all the posts they’ve written on this site.
A new “Contact Us” form.
A separate Blogroll page. I’m using Blogrolling. I don’t know why it’s formatted as double space on the sidebar column but only single space on a new page.
I’ll be back to regular posting soon.
