Eros Zine: My sense watching it is that the group “confession scene” at the beginning [of Chemistry, Tristan's first movie for Vivid] really started off the energy; it seemed like a real excuse for the performers to flirt.
Tristan Taormino: Totally, and as you see in the bonus material, they actually started fucking before the talking began and I had to stop them and say, wait, we need to set a few ground rules first and have our little roundtable.
Eros Zine: What ground rules did you set?
Tristan Taormino: They needed to tell us if they were going to do a full scene, so we had a little time to set up lights. They weren’t supposed to fuck on the suede couch (which they ended up doing). They were supposed to make sure their perv cam footage was lit alright — well, you see how that turned out. And they had to smoke outside.
