    My grandmothers maiden name is Perel. I wonder if there’s a relation.

    CH, I had a friend publish a memoir when he was in his 70s. All kinds of friends and family came out of the woodwork and it was a good thing.

    You’ll never know until you write and ask her.

    If she could only remember. She’s got dementia and when I call her she asks me if I can tie my shoe laces yet. I’ll see what I can do. In the meantime I’ll keep at my memoirs and hope to channel memories not only that I’ve had, but that relatives have had. Memoirs of a neurotic, clairvoyant or psychic kvetcher.
