Betty Tompkins. You know, the Fuck Painter.

Okay, it’s really just an excuse to use the words Fuck and Painter next to each other, but Betty’s been painting large-scale explicit paintings of, well, fucking since the Seventies.

Here’s one of my favorites from her online portfolio. Most don’t leave as much to the imagination.

    As with many things sexual, the sex part of it makes otherwise ordinary art extraordinary. She’s not even journeyman art student grade, I’ve seen as good sold along the streets of NY or in the art bins at fairs. But because of her lurid marketing, the stuff is noteworthy.

    Sometimes one can live too long.
