Research on Sexual Side Effects: Who Do You Trust? (Cory Silverberg)

Reuters reported last week on a study that compared the impact on sexual functioning of the anti-depression drugs Cymbalta and Lexapro. Notably, the study was funded by Eli Lily, makers of Cymbalta.

Wanna guess the results? The study found that in the first eight weeks of treatment, people who were taking Cymbalta experienced fewer sexual difficulties than people taking Lexapro. But by eight months on the medication there was no difference in the side effects of either medication.
